Linking Policy
Overview
The Canadian Kennel Club, Inc. (“CKC”) grants nonexclusive, limited permission to website owners to create a link (“Permitted Link”) from their website (the “Linking Site”) to the CKC website home page (www.ckc.org) or any other page of the CKC website, under the following terms and conditions:
Permitted Links
- The link must be text-based and may include the words “Canadian Kennel Club,” “CKC,” “CKC.org,” or “www.CKC.org.” Alternatively, the link may contain a graphic banner, provided upon request and at CKC’s sole discretion. Any graphic banner provided by CKC cannot be altered, modified, or changed in any way. To request a graphic banner, contact master@ckc.org.
- “Framing” any page of the CKC website or modifying the appearance or presentation of any page is strictly prohibited.
Restrictions
- The Linking Site must not suggest, imply, or represent any form of affiliation, sponsorship, endorsement, or approval by CKC, nor should it create a false association with CKC.
- The link should not be used in association with any defamatory, profane, offensive, or illegal content. It should not be used in any manner that could damage or tarnish the reputation of CKC.
- The link cannot be used in any misleading way or in connection with content that infringes the rights of third parties.
Liability and Indemnity
CKC is not responsible for any content on the Linking Site or any loss or damage arising from the use of a Permitted Link. The Linking Site agrees to indemnify and hold harmless CKC from any claims, actions, or proceedings, including legal fees and expenses, resulting from the use of a Permitted Link or the Linking Site.
Intellectual Property
CKC retains all rights to its proprietary materials, including trademarks, logos, and copyrights on the website. Apart from the granted permission to link, nothing from the CKC website may be used, reproduced, or posted on any Linking Site without express written consent.
Termination of Permission
CKC reserves the right to revoke the permission to link at any time, for any reason. Upon termination, all links to the CKC website must be removed immediately, and any use of CKC’s proprietary materials must cease.
Amendments
CKC may modify this Linking Policy at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be posted on this page. By maintaining a link to any CKC website, you agree to comply with these terms and any other applicable terms on the CKC website.
